About the event
Beneficiary: Firefighter Cancer Support Network
Description: This annual event honors Captain Sisson, a valued member of Station 17 who sadly passed away from cancer. The Centreville Volunteer Fire Department helps organize the 5K, and I was proud to be one of the ten marathon runners participating.
This 5K is a critical opportunity to not only fund the Firefighter Cancer Support Network but also to spread awareness of how cancer negatively changes people's lives and advocate for better health and protective resources for our firefighters.
